A leap of Faith....

My big boy!!! Its tradition now that when my babies are born i make a build a bear for them. When Andrew was born i made him a soccer bear because his daddy wants him to be a soccer pro. Well, now that Addy is here we hit the mall on Friday to make her her own special bear. While we were there Andrew saw a monkey he wanted so bad. Andrew loves monkey's! An idea came to me....I told Andrew if he went home and collected all of his pacifiers he could come back when daddy got home and buy the monkey with his "paci's". He said ok, he was totally on board. Well, we went to go pick up daddy and Andrew had his bag in tow with ALL of his paci's. I was so proud. He built his bear and when we checked out I had the check out lady tell him the cost, which was 7 paci's, and Andrew counted them out to her one by one. So sad I didn't get pictures of this because I was helping him. The first night Andrew woke up a few times and ask me for a paci but i would remind him that he gave his paci's to the nice lady to buy his monkey. By Saturday afternoon he didn't ask again. Every once in a while he would tell me where is paci's went but never asked for one. I was so scared to do this. Andrew is sick right now and I know his paci would be a comfort for him but he has done amazing. I am so proud of my big boy! Love you Andrew.

Saturday night I took Andrew to a birthday party for his friend Abigail at The Little Gym. He was not interested at ALL in the little games and things they do he just wanted to free play the whole time. He loved hanging from the rings! If he could just free play the whole time I would sign him up but you cant so...oh well! He had a good time.

Yay I am so glad it went well for you getting rid of the pacis. I think it's harder on Mom than on the kid!
