Happy Birthday to my little man! Andrews Monkey themed water party (cause those go so well together ;) ) was a hit! We had a big blow up bounce house with a water slide attached, a little kid pool, a water table, and a sprinkler beach ball. The food was pretty yummy. My favorite part was the cut up watermelon..go me for that one. Watermelon is just so good on a hot summer day. the kids also had a play dough table, bubble wands, and sno-cones!!
Last years party was way big so this year i just invited a few of Andrew's friends that he actually knew and enjoyed. He had a blast until the stubbed his toe and cried for about a half hour, then when we brought out his "monkey cake" he was happy and actually had 3 cupcakes. Crazy kid. The cake was a curious George Cupcake cake which i highly recommend. No plates, no forks, no ice cream to dip to go with the cake, nice and easy.
I enjoyed hanging with our friends as the kids played. We think everyone had a good time. This is the first time Andrew has actually gotten to open presents and understand that they are for him. He loved everything, it was hard to get him to move on to the next present. Thank you for the monkey sock, the potato head, Hummer Truck, motorcycle that does wheelies, book, shirt, and dump truck.
Until next year..I am thinking just cake for next year. I am taking a break for a few years on the parties. :)

taking a break huh? I will have to wait and see on that! Now you see why I go easy on the birthdays? When you have multiple kids--easier the better is the way to go! Glad that Andrew enjoyed his party, just think next year he will enjoy it even more!
