Saturday morning we got up early and left about 8 am to go to our wards Annual Turkey Shoot. No, they don't shoot real turkeys. All the men bring their guns and they shoot clay pigeons, and who ever wins the different rounds wins a turkey. It was really fun. us women stuck buy the donuts and juice! The toddler loved running around in the dirt and Joplin was there to give him loves at every turn. The Love Machine of course loved this because he got to use his automatic riffle and show off a bit.
We then drove home from the mountains and arrived at about 10:15ish, then i jumped back in the car at 10:30 am to drive the distance and meet some of my best buds for lunch at 11. Amy, Deanna, and I met at Olive Garden which is kind of a ritual in our friendship and enjoyed the yummy yummy food there. Then we headed over to the theater for the 1:00 pm showing of TWILIGHT. We were all so excited. We had out candy, drinks, and Deanna's huge popcorn to nibble on during this movie we have waited months for. As the lights went down and the previews started I gave a little scream (yea sometimes i guess it could be embarrassing to be with me). As the movie ended I was a little sad, not only because it didn't live up to my expectations but because i wanted more. I guess i will wait the other year, months or how ever long until the next movie comes out. i have to say that the movie does not even compare to the books. Maybe if i had watched the movie first then it would have been OK. Stephanie Meyer is an amazing writer and go figure that the intensity in the book was no where near portrayed on screen.
Oh well, i had a blast with my girlfriends and would go see anything just for an afternoon out. I got home about 4 pm to a happy toddler and hubby!
