Weekend Recap..

This post is really all about my wonderful husband. I used to be all into the whole equal rights thing. I work in the home with Andrew, my husband works outside the home and makes money so i always figured it was always fair to expect Franco to do his part of the house chores because we both work, who cares who brings home the $$. He does laundry, irons, folds, dishes, cooks, sweeps, mops, mows, takes out the trash and everything and anything else I ask him to do. Yet I complain. I complain he isn't romantic enough, I complain that he wont cuddle when I want him too (although honestly he does most of the time), i guess i am just a complainer. Then it all changed. What you ask, well the weekend happened and my eyes were open.

Saturday I had Super Saturday at church. For those who are not familiar with that term let me explain it: once a year the women in our ward get together for an all day craft day at the church. There are several crafts you can choose from and we get to chat, eat lunch, and make things all day. We got to pick between 7 things. I made a Christ Frame which turned out wonderful, and a family Home Evening board.
Anyway, i left the house at 9:30 am and got home at 3:30 pm. Not only did Franco take care of Andrew BUT he also had done all the dishes, swept, mop, vacuumed, completely removed any clutter on our table, island, and anywhere else. yes yes yes that's great and all right but there is more. He went through all of our cabinets and cleaned them out and organized them, and also emptied the hall closet and bagged all the old shoes and random things that have collected in there. AMAZING huh! I was in shock.

Church starts at 1 pm on Sunday but i had meetings from 10-1 before church. So i left the house a little before 10 and walked in the door in just enough time for Andrew and Franco to jump in the car and head to church. Franco had Andrew all dressed and ready to go. I mentally told myself that when we got home from church i would give Franco a break and take on Andrew. HOWEVER in the last 30 minutes of church i went to change Andrew's diaper and when I picked him up my back popped and I went down. Oh my I was in so much pain. I took Andrew to Franco's class and walked out like a hunchback. When we got home it all went downhill. I have been flat on my back in bed since. I can not even roll from one side to another, awful huh. So yet again Franco took the day off and is taking care of the house and Andrew. What a guy. I have to say he stepped up even before he had too.

Not only that, but we laughed today as we both made a comment that we just saw our lives 40 years from now. As I mentioned i really cant move, so going to the bathroom poses a challenge. Franco has to carry me there, pull down my pants, and hold me up as I go to the bathroom because the pressure on my lower back brings me to tears. I was laughing so hard as I was on the potty holding my husbands arms as he waited for me to finis. Later as i took a bath he had to pull me out and dry me off. Not only that but he has been bringing me breakfast, lunch, my computer, water, picking up my cell phone as it falls off the bed, and every other little thing I need.

So NO MORE COMPLAINING for me. I have the best husband in the world. Franco i have not given you enough credit for all you DO around here. I am promising everyone that i will stop all the equal rights stuff and cook and clean and everything else I need to do around here. :)

For any of you out there that are slightly like me (highly doubtful I know) stop now and be nice to your hubby. Now, if you all can keep me in your prayers so that I may return to being a mom who is so happy to be up and around just being!!

WEll good going Buffalo!!!! Maybe it's time to put Andrew on a diet? Or maybe you need to take boniva and do some back strengthening exercises. Just kidding my back has been killing me too, I think that i need to visit the chiropracter. By the end of the day all I want to do is lay down flat on my back, and I have to take tylenol just to get through the day. Lucky you have Franco to take of you, I don't think Jamie would go to such lenghths to take care of me, although he has done some pretty amazing stuff to help me out, but not anything I want to mention. So I hope that you get feeling better asap. It's tough to be a out of commission Mommy!

Wow! That stinks that you are down. I hope you are up and at 'em SOON! Good for you Franco. That is way to a woman's heart! Serious brownie points! I too, complain more than I need to. I have a super helpful man myself and I take it for granite!

Super Franco to the Rescue!!! Nice going! You may be really pleased with your husband, but i am not. I have been watching his blog and it has been over 5 weeks since he has posted. Come on! Since he has time to clean the kitchen, organize the cabinets, mop, sweep and do the laundry, where is he budgeting enough time to blog for me. I love his blogs!!!!
